‘For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
‘Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (John 3:16-17, NRSV)
Our Lenten Lunch series continues on Tuesday, March 6th at 11:30am with “Painting John 3:16”. Come and share a “semi-brown bag lunch” (bring your own sandwich, drinks and sides provided)
Before and after lunch, explore the words of John 3:16-17 through sight, sounds, and touch. Then, after lunch, all those who wish to do so are invited to use the provided water-colors or acrylics to paint a picture in response to the words of scripture.
All skill levels are welcome. Focus on the whose passage or simply a single word. Paint a globe, or the cross, or the word “loved.” Paint anything that you choose.
This luncheon is offered as part of a five-church, five week “Lenten Lunches with Presbyterian Neighbors” series. Everyone is invited! Read more about the series here: https://winterparkpresbyterian.org/2018/02/12/lenten-lunches-with-presbyterian-neighbors/
