Dear Friends,
Pentecost is sometimes referred to as “the Birthday of the Church.” It sounds a bit silly to say it that way, but it is the day we celebrate God’s Spirit moving in a big way. The disciples who had hidden, then gone fishing, then just not really known what to do with Jesus’s resurrection – on Pentecost they went from being kinda clueless to be a people on God’s mission with Good News to share!
Pentecost is a day to celebrate that memory, and it is a day to celebrate that God’s Spirit still moves and still calls us to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the world.
Let’s take time this Pentecost to savor the story of Acts 2 – and share it with each other!
Emile
Oh, and wear red on Sunday!!
