Pastor playing an electric guitar for preschool devotions

Each week we share a Bible Story, a song, and a prayer with the Preschool. To say that Devotions are a highlight of my week does not quite do it justice. The children’s joy, their enthusiasm, and their imaginations are a blessing beyond measure. I am thankful for a church family that has had this Preschool as a mission for more than sixty years.

This Friday I shared the story of Jesus and Blind Bartimaeus from Mark 10:46-52. Bartimaeus cries out to Jesus, but the people around Bartimaeus just told him to be quiet. How many times had Bartimaeus been ignored, silenced, and passed by? Jesus sees Bartimaeus. I am thankful that Jesus sees us and loves us – even when we feel ignored by the world. Let us try to see each other.

Peace be with you, friends.
Emile

(The song we sang, Blindman, needs just a little of electric guitar “fuzz”… just a little.)
