Two Worship Services on Maundy Thursday
Maundy Thursday Foot Washing Service – 6:30pm
Come to an “Upper Room” foot-washing service at 6:30pm in the Andrew Howell Room.
In John 13, Jesus sets an example of what it is to love and serve our Sisters and Brothers by washing the feet of the disciples. He then tells us to follow that example. Come to this simple service, reflect on Jesus’ words in John, and engage in the ancient practice of washing the feet of your fellow Christians.
Maundy Thursday Worship Service with Communion at Long Tables
7:30pm
In the 17th and 18th centuries, Presbyterians were known for sharing the Lord’s Supper while seated at long tables. Our Maundy Thursday worship service remembers this practice as we gather around long tables to share the bread and the cup.
Gathering at long tables with your fellow disciples is a wonderful way to experience the family of God.
