Joy Gift: 12/6/15

Sing choirs of angels!   Come shepherds, sheep, donkey, cows, and snake.  (Snake!?!)  Come adore the Christ Child.   Our Joy Gift worship service (held in support of the Christmas Joy offering of the PCUSA) featured the gifts of our children’s choir, youth ukulele choir, adult ukulele choir, Chancel Choir, and adult instrumentalists.  We shared the story of Jesus’ birth through videos narrated by our children and families.  Many thanks to Rachel, Sharon, and everyone who helped put the worship service together.

A little girl who loves snakes was invited to be the snake in the manger scene.  (Really, there probably was a snake around somewhere.  It was a barn, you know!)

Preschool Children Come to Young at Hearts

Today the children of our preschool came to Young at Hearts to sing Christmas songs and meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.   Much fun was had by all!

Friday Morning Ukuleles

Our Adult Ukulele Choir meets on Sunday evenings at 6:30pm.  While that is a great time for many, some of our parents of young children have asked for an alternate time. So,

VBS 2015

Our 2015 Vacation Bible School was held during the 3rd week of August.  Our theme was built around the parable of the sower.  Our theme song was written by our very own Rachel Doll.  We had over 40 children led by over 40 volunteers from Winter Park Presbyterian Church.  Much fun was had by all!

Ukulele Camp

In July of 2015 we had our first “Ukulele Camp” at Winter Park Presbyterian Church.  Over three evenings 60 members and friends of WPPC as well as guests came to enjoy music, ukuleles, and fellowship together.   We had beginner and intermediate groups for children, youth, and adults.  It was a wonderful time to meet the ukulele or polish some skills.  We look forward to “Ukulele Camp 2016”.   Some pictures are posted below:

Love. Serve. Ukulele.
