Painting the Passion – Wednesday, April 17th at 11:30am: Part of the Lenten Lunch Series of Wilmington’s Presbyterian Churches. Come, bring a sandwich, and paint a picture inspired by the Good News found in the stories of Palm Sunday, The Lord’s Supper, the Passion, and the Resurrection. Art Materials will be provided. (Art materials and aprons will also be provided for children.)
Maundy Thursday – April 18th at 7:30pm: Gather in the Sanctuary for a worship service that journeys with the disciples to our Lord’s table. We will remember and give thanks for the new commandment given to love and the love enacted as Christ invites us to share in the bread and the cup. We will be worship with the congregation of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Jonathan Watson of CFPC will be our preacher.
Good Friday – April 19th at 11:00am: Come read, sing, and remember the Good News that is found in Christ’s sacrificial love for us. We will follow Jesus to the cross as we hear the readings of the Passion story and sing beloved and moving hymns. Come and Worship.
Easter Sunday, April 21st @ WPPC
Easter Sunday we will have two identical worship services at 9:00am and 11:00am

10:00am Children’s Easter Egg Hunt: Children are invited to meet on the playground for an exciting Easter Egg hunt.
11:00am Worship Service
Sunday, April 28th – The Second Sunday of Easter – 10am Worship
On the Second Sunday of Easter, we will go back to our 10am worship time. On this Sunday, we will be joined by the congregation of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church. Our worship service will include the “Hallelujah Chorus” of Handel’s Messiah.

Rise Against Hunger: Sunday, September 15th at 2:00pm!
Rise Against Hunger food-packing Service Project on Sunday, September 15th at 2:00pm. Come back to the church after lunch with friends to pack meals for hunger relief around the world.
All are welcome. In fact, we need some extra volunteers. Please invite a friend (or five)!

Ukulele Camp 2019 – August 13-15th
Ukulele Camp 2019 at Winter Park Presbyterian
August 13th, 14th, and 15th (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)

Join us from 5:30 to 7:30pm on August 13th, 14th, and 15th for our 5th Annual Ukulele Camp. We will share a dinner together before splitting into groups by age and Ukulele Skill Level. All ages are welcome. Last year, our youngest beginner was three and our oldest was 86 with lots of abilities and ages in between!
Groups offered will include:
A nursery will be offered for parents who sign up their infants and toddlers by August 1st, 2019.
We do have a few ukuleles that may be borrowed from our “Ukulele Library.”

Annual Church Picnic – Sunday, May 19th at 5pm
Our Annual Church Picnic is this Sunday (5/19) afternoon at 5pm at Trinity United Methodist Activity Center on S. College Road. (Next to Cape Fear Academy). Come on out for great food on the grill, fellowship, activities for children, and music.
Bring your ukulele, guitar, mandolin, harmonica, or kazoo for the sing-a-long!

Painting the Passion: A Lenten Lunch
You are invited to come and bring a sandwich at 11:30am on Wednesday, April 17th. Exploration stations will be set up around Chadbourn Hall to remember, recall, and retell the stories of Holy Week: Palm Sunday, The Last Supper, The Passion, and the Resurrection. Sides and drinks will be prepared for you.
Come and reflect on the stories of Holy Week through art. You don’t have to have any skills just to play and pray with brush and paint. Come on out!
